
Lorraine A. Marin, M.D.
Dr. Marin graduated cum laude with honors in chemistry from Smith College, and completed her medical training at the University of California, Davis Medical School in June of 1977. She finished her internal medicine residency at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago in 1980. She then completed her training in medical oncology and radiation oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, from 1981 through 1985. Dr. Marin had postdoctoral training in brachytherapy radiation with Professor Bernard Pierquin at the Hospital Henri Mondor in Paris, France. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology.
As Director of Science for the Preuss Foundation, Dr. Marin evaluates existing Preuss Foundation grantees' research as well as research proposals made to the foundation. She continuously seeks out and advises the foundation of innovative developments in brain tumor research. She also plays a key role in organizing The Preuss Foundation conferences and seminars.
